Being tardy is a serious problem for many students. Tardiness can lead to missing important announcements and there are consequences. If you are tardy go to the attendance window to receive a tardy pass.
There are many ways you could have become late for school - you could have slept in or perhaps there was traffic. It is still not an option to be late, so be sure to wake up when your alarm goes off or leave the house earlier. For being late to class, your first tardy is a warning, second is a bag-it, third is a detention, and fourth is an office referral.
On the other hand, if you have a doctors appointment and come to school during third period, that would be late arrival. Students would need to have their parents call the office a day before, bring a signed note, or your parents can talk to the office in person when dropping you off.
